Case study / Perception and identity

Rebuilding the brand and website for a global risk firm.

We were engaged by a global risk and resilience firm whose brand and website no longer reflected the quality of its work or the range of products and services it offered.

The situation

The firm had a strong portfolio of products and services, but its website and brand had not kept pace with the business.

The wider problem

Buyers of risk and resilience services usually research a firm before they make contact. By the time a firm is asked to pitch, its website has often been read by the client, procurement and sometimes the board.

As firms grow they tend to add products faster than they update how those products are explained. The portfolio makes sense internally but reads as a list to everyone else.

What we found

Visitors had to work hard to understand what the firm offered and how the products related to each other. Sales conversations were spent explaining things the website should have covered.

What we did

We rebuilt the brand and redesigned the website around how clients evaluate a risk partner. Each product and service now has a clear place and a plain explanation of what it does and who it is for.

  • Brand rebuilt to suit the firm's standing
  • Clear structure for products and services
  • Website redesigned for clarity

The outcome

A website and brand that accurately present the firm's capability and give prospective clients a clear view of what it offers.

Why it matters

When clients understand the offer before the first meeting, conversations start further along and focus on the work itself.
